Dr. Rasmussen is originally from Idaho, where he attended Boise State University for his undergraduate studies. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Rasmussen and his wife relocated to Tucson, where he has been in private practice ever since.
Dr. Rasmussen values high quality and conservative dental care for the whole family. His passions in dentistry include: restorative (fillings, crowns, and bridges), cosmetics (whitening and veneers), pediatrics, sedation (dental anxiety) and orthodontics (Invisalign). He believes that dentistry can be comfortable for everyone and make a positive impact on their teeth and overall health. For his pediatric patients, he is passionate about providing pleasant dental experiences to create a lifetime of a healthy relationship with their dentist. He is currently studying for his Fellowship in Academy of General Dentistry, which is a distinguished award that only 6% of dentists in the country have accomplished. This award is granted to those who go above and beyond their continuing education requirements. Dr. Rasmussen places a high value on continuing education to stay up to date on the latest techniques and technologies to provide patients with the best care. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association.
You will hear the Old Pueblo team referring to Dr. Rasmussen as Dr. Raz (please feel free to use this). He is married to his best friend and they have two amazing young children. Most of his extra time is spent playing with his kids, but you will also find him mountain biking, espresso making, working on his photography, gardening and taking road trips.
